Success as a barrister does not guarantee success as a judge either.

I believe the money spent on televising the Cof A could be better spent elsewhere. The numbers who watch it will be very small.

There is no crisis in the appointment of judges - there would be literallly thousands of barristers who would give their right hand to be a judge. Let those barristers who sniff at judges pay stay at the bar - this is what they have always done.
