The other issue that does not appear to have been considered or commented upon is that we are not on a level playing field. Will writing and probate services can be offered by businesses who are not regulated or insured and people who do not even have a cycling proficiency badge. How are we supposed to compete when our overheads are astronomical compared to these outfits?
To anyone who says you have to be qualified to act in a probate - these outfits get their individuals appointed as the executors attorneys and apply for the Grant in person. Open a bank account - drain the deceased's account and off to South America.
I am not tarring all unqualified, unregulated and uninsured outfits with the same brush - I just want a level playing field.
Pleas to my MP to protect the public from themselves have fallen on deaf ears
