Unfortunately one very 'challenging' pupil in a class of 30 takes up an inordinate amount of time and effort of the teachers and other staff. It means that the others can fall way behind.

And there is not a forest of Money-Trees out there to pay for unlimited extra staff to give these pupils personal attention.

Like in some of the very high Clin Neg awards these days, the balance that needs to be struck between concern and support for one individual as against the wider needs of a society with limited resources, seems to be out of kilter at present.
