During the early 1990's news began to break about a phenomenon called a 'claims culture' where an accident of any sort could be claimed against. The cultivators of that culture were businesses whom had offices on both sides of the pond.

The first known claim cases against an at fault insurer in the UK were formulated and brought before a judge by another insurance company that now sits comfortably in the top five insurance spot of wealth in the country.
