They wont make money from PI, they know that BUT they will make money from the data that goes with buying this firm, nothing more nothing less.
Just think if you had an accident say 5/6 years ago and your claim was settled, there's a huge chance the company who settled the claim has now been bought out by another firm who now own your information, lets say that information via a Venture Capitalist is then given to one of their many partner companies and so forth and so forth
