My view is as long as the Mortgage Company were protected that should be it.

Sod the fraudsters. They have no 'entitlement' to anything. Equitable Doctrines. Innocent Third Party to be unaffected and all that.

In fact the Fraudsters should be made to compensate the Mortgagees first to ensure the PII Insurers don't have to pay. Then Subrogation comes in. Thats what I always thought. With Fraud the loss lies where it falls and that would mean the Mortgagor pays.
