I suspect this will end up with senior judiciary getting less than 32% in return for the pension returning to being unregistered and a deal over the younger judges pensions. It's interesting though that there's no information about the tribunal salaries as this was more contentious following the pwc job evaluation exercise some years ago. The word on the street though is that there are very real concerns about the quality of the HC bench as there is a shortage of decent candidates applying. Lower down, modern judges want a better work life balance and aren't willing to work uncomplainingly on poor conditions as they feel the convenant has been broken. And the salaried judges aren't shy of telling everyone else how bad things have got...
