May I make a plea for politicians to stop trying to make names for themselves by meddling in matters that should not be their concern? (Personally, I would add to that to that matters such as education and the NHS, not to mention sending our forces to interfere in the affairs of other nations). Anonymous 11.28 is absolutely right: the reasons for delay lie elsewhere and it will help no-one to bring back HIPs under another name. I will refrain from ranting any further but just at the moment there are far more urgent issues that need to be addressed.
