The Law Society is an ant in front of the SRA's steamroller. It won't do anything. It won't even ask the SRA to state the costs of prosecuting the Leigh Day case, despite the fact that those costs were funded from fees paid by solicitors for practising solicitors.

Indeed, the Society will know that it's on dodgy ground when it comes to wasted expenditure, because it frittered £7million of the profession's money away on the Veyo fiasco.

Veyo + Leigh Day = c£12million. Yet, when questions are asked about these matters, answers are not forthcoming. That is the example which the Society and the SRA set to solicitors, who are expected to be transparent about pricing.
