I regularly conduct video link hearings for clients from police stations and there is no doubt that there is a more relaxed and often lenient view taken by the court on the video link. Is this right?

Conversely the impact of the Defendant and the lawyer are definately reduced where the link is used by them. Further the defendant cannot see his family in the court room and this is unsettling for them.

So Mr. Susskind your claims of there being no need for face to face justice are totally without foundation.

Justice is not a TV screen. Save it for facetiming friends.
