This all seems quite odd.

Why on earth would any sane solicitor phone up a Barrister for this type of conversation anyway - such a request would normally be by e-mail, direct to the Clerk.

And then to say such clearly discriminatory language to a Barrister, whose own public profile makes it clear that she is a keen advocate of human rights for minorities, makes it doubly perplexing...?


As matters currently stand Ms Popal has brought the entire Solicitors profession into disrepute with the public by making a serious but generalised claim.


I think she owes it to all of us, and also in furtherance of her own professional responsibilities, to name this Solcitors she accuses of this appalling behaviour.
