Dr Helen Phillips may welcome this, but would she have been so happy in her Yorkshire Water days if people had been able to put unregulated water into the public supply? Or in her Chesterfield NHS role if we introduced unregulated medical practitioners? Why is it that people with no experience of the law always have such wonderful ideas on how to improve the way lawyers work, let alone are given the opportunity to put their ideas into practice?
