I can't see that the Solicitors Benevolent Fund would get involved in this. If any organisation can help the Flaux Three, it should be the Law Society.

The Society could support applications for permission to appeal on the basis that there is a need for greater clarity on the appropriate sanction where (i) the solicitor is junior, (ii) the dishonesty is not aimed at personal gain but is a response to the working environment and (iii) there is evidence of mental illness. If it supported appeals on that basis, the Society would not be seen as siding with dishonest practitioners.

So, Gazette, what does the Law Society have to say about that?
