Here's a radical idea: if you advertise a solicitor's job as 9 - 5.30 each day then that should be what people work.

If you actually expect someone to work from 8am until 7pm each day then be honest when you recruit.

We all live one life. It is too short to spend most of it miserable and stuck in an office. Get the balance right and it benefits everyone.

I'd rather accept a lower salary and enjoy life.
