Anon 10 December 2018 11:08 - I agree that "questions are not settled forever" yet I do feel that the original referendum needs to be acted upon first to ensure that democracy is not circumvented by people asking the same question until they get the answer they want.

Maybe, in 4 years, part of a manifesto will be to go back into the EU and we shall see what that vote brings. But to say that most of the 17.4 million people have changed their mind so a further vote should be undertaken is madness. I know remainers who would vote to leave because they believe in adhering to the 2016 referendum but the media are silent on that element.

Also, to divide the leave camp with a bad deal/Norway deal/Canada ++ deal and to have "no Brexit" on the end will surely be a weighted referendum in any event. Then where do we go - best of 5?

That said, the predictions are that we are to grow less than expected if we leave. But we still grow.

Finally, as far as a reduction in workers rights, paternity etc. That is total scaremongering. If the party at the time does not enact laws to protect what the people see as necessary (such as clean beaches and lower pollution etc.) they will soon find themselves replaced (after 4 years) by the voting public who vote for an alternative manifesto.
