That isn’t correct. Parliament certainly has the legal power to reverse Brexit. That does not render it sovereign. On most issues it is, but where the people have spoken (as they have here in a public referendum) then their answer is sovereign. And Parliament has no constitutional power to do anything other than obey.

Hence why a Remain-majority Parliament authorised the triggering of Article 50 in the first place, understanding (contrary to the subsequent incorrect decision of the ECJ) that this was final and irrevocable.

If Parliament attempts to reverse course now, without another referendum or at the very least a general election, the result will be a full-blown constitutional crisis.
