Fact is, the service these people are offering is not a service that I have noticed any law firm offering. Conduct of litigation and advocacy in court are services for which one needs a solicitor and/or a barrister. Help conducting one's own litigation, including at hearings (as authorised by McKenzie v McKenzie) are not services that solicitors generally are offering. They are not therefore in any position to complain if others cover the market need that they are avoiding covering, nor that those who receive this service are happy to pay for it.
