Why should Mr Mercer not say what he said in Parliament today outside Parliament? He emphasised the values and standards that the British Army operate under and there were no abuses by the military. The only possible abuse were the fabricated instructions that Leigh Day continued to present in court proceedings even when they (allegedly) had clear evidence that the accusations against the Army were lies.

So I strongly suspect that Mr Mercer's tweets this evening are not going to have him running to a lawyer.
