I do find it odd that some posters below think that the military are above reproach for anything they do.

There is a thing called the Geneva Convention. It’s a pretty thick line to step over to breach it, but that is what happened, and knowingly. Servicemen and women aren’t all angels fighting with truth and right on their side. Some are, some are scared but do their duty and some just do what they want. And some follow orders that are plain wrong.

Tough when you get found out but I guess some careers will quietly get shuffled with nobody being the wiser - the forces are not the best in the world when it comes to candour.

My personal opinion is that an independent body is need to investigate allegations against servicemen. Use ex-Military Police plus civilian police.
