Lots of women are not happy however with that use of language. The problem is the balance of interests. Whilst we have huge sympathy for teenage girls who want to transition, it damages a much much higher number of girls to suggest menstruation is something teenage boys have.

In other words it is an issue of damage to a much greater number of women by using this language, than to a very very small number of teenage girls transitioning to be male.

If we are not careful we will damage the 50% of the population who are female by protecting a very very narrow small group of trans teenagers.
