Jack Shepherd seems to me to have been just a thoughtless and stupid man and then, after the accident, was scared enough to run away from the most unfortunate results of his stupidity and the possible criminal consequences. I do not think he is at all the sadistic killer evading justice which the media seem to be making him out to be. He seems to me to be just a scared young man who allowed something very stupid to happen without thought of the possible deadly consequences. He is entitled to be defended by Tuckers and these threats against them are wholly out of order from, presumably crazy members of the public "wound up" by the extreme and emotive language used about this fellow by our media.
