The negligence case is an appeal from the County Court at Leeds. Counsel (at least in the Court of Appeal) were from Leeds (for an individual) and London (for insurers). The solicitors are from Oldham (for the individual) and various cities including Bristol (for insurers). The Claimant no doubt had reasons, such as where she lives, for going to solicitors in Oldham and litigating in Leeds.

And they are all to be dragged to Cardiff to prove some sort of nationalist point. What nonsense.

I once acted for an employer in the EAT in Cardiff, but at least in that case the employee was from South Wales and some sort of justice was done by sitting there.
