I’m pleased to see funding has been granted on appeal, however I echo the comments from their solicitor “It is disappointing that our clients had to go through the appeal process to get a positive outcome... and many other families are not successful in their appeals”

I routinely have to file appeals with the LAA when applying for a clinical negligence matter, (and succeed). It feels like they now arbitrarily refuse all initial applications no matter what the merits or facts are.

The quality of their case work has gone the same way as their budget cuts. Who could have foreseen such a thing?
