I fully support the RCP poll and their position of giving more weight to neutrality.

In the previous poll, more than half of doctors wanted the RCP to be supportive or neutral towards a change in the law, but their views counted for nothing. Under the new structure, their views can be taken into consideration by using neutrality as something of a mid-position.

On a wider point, I also support a change in the law to allow for assisted dying, and I believe it's time for medical bodies such as the RCP to let society come to a decision on this matter, unencumbered.
