I think the issue is being looked at all wrong. It is not a case that more barristers should be made accountable or fewer solicitoirs. It is a matter of fairness, accountability, integrity and public interest -more times than not clients who have not experienced the quality of advice or representation that they deserved get smacked down -there is no table showing how badly the public are let down.
