Am I missing something? If I decide to charge £2000 per hour, surely my clients decide whether to pay that or find someone else? Since when has setting a high charging rate been a striking off offence? In the case where costs are then claimed off a third party, they are then subject to agreement or court scrutiny, as are own client costs.
I can see this being used to clobber niche specialists into charging the same rate as the odd jobber down the road.
