Freehold or leasehold a solicitor should explain and advise a residential client as to all aspects of their transaction including if leasehold whether after a few years the term of years will have run down enough to make a future purchser anxious. Of course why bother reading anything as a £40 indemnity policy fixes everything doesn't it (although offering to the party such policy was designed to thwart used to focus a vendor's solicitors attitude). At the end if the day the Partners/Members main concern often is the P&L rather than a skilled service. Anonymous will no doubt fume at such a suggestion.
