Has Insurance Man decided on a new nom de plume?

I went to a PI update course once and the self-styled guru was pushing the mantra of a 100% success fee on all cases. "Everyone is doing it" he said. I didn't so thankfully I can relax.

I can understand those that did. £500 per claim is nothing against overheads and the costs of acquiring the work (whether that be above or below board).

But as with everything, if your ar5e is covered by the client paperwork, and you have a detailed attendance note setting everything out, then you are ok.

What will now be happening is that standardised attendance notes will now be coming into play saying that everything was explained. The reality is that clients, including very bright people, do not understand about costs no matter how exhaustive the explanation is.
