Registered Charity No: 206451 (England & Wales).

Since 1908 the Royal Variety Charity, formerly known as Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund (EABF), has been quietly helping out behind the scenes to bring essential comfort and support to those who have dedicated their lives to the entertainment of others. For many, the Charity is their only lifeline. Show business has never been a secure occupation and as it becomes even more diverse, so the scope of our responsibilities broadens. We provide support to all members of the entertainment profession regardless of whether they work front of stage, behind the scenes or in the box office.

The public face of the Royal Variety Charity is Brinsworth House, a dual registered residential and nursing home in Twickenham. This Grade II listed building is a safe and secure home for up to 36 elderly residents. Our team of professional nursing staff and qualified care workers provide care and attention 24 hours a day to meet the residents' needs.

In addition, the Royal Variety Charity operates a grants scheme for those who have fallen on hard times through illness, accident or misfortune. Examples of grants issued include payment of utility bills, purchase of mobility aids and contributions towards home adaptations. Where possible, we support and encourage a return to work.

Our largest fundraising event remains the Royal Variety Performance but your donations and legacies are vital to ensure the continuance of The Charity. For more information please visit our website www.eabf.org.uk or alternatively call us on 020 8898 8164.
