Registered Charity No: 222621 (England & Wales).

Woodside Animal Centre is the Leicestershire Branch of the RSPCA.

We take in and care for stray and unwanted pets, aid the recovery and return of injured wildlife to their natural habitat plus care for animal victims of cruelty.

Each year thousands of animals arrive at Woodside all needing our help. Our charity has rescued and rehabilitated animals in Leicestershire for nearly 40yrs and in the last 10 years alone has successfully re-homed over 36,000 animals.

Woodside Animal Centre is consistently one of the RSPCA’s top re-homing centres with one of the lowest animal return rates in the UK.

It currently costs around £18,000 per week to run the animal centre, funds we can only raise in the Leicestershire area.

Although Woodside Animal Centre is proud to be part of the RSPCA we are a separate self-funding charity and are reliant on the donations we gratefully receive from the generous people of Leicestershire. As an animal charity we receive no government funding.

For every pound raised 70p goes towards animal care 29p for fundraising and 1p for governance.

Leaving a gift in your will to Woodside animal centre means we will be able to continue the work we do for those unfortunate animals that need us long into the future.

NB. If you would like to leave a bequest to the Woodside Animal Centre please ensure that the correct information is given.

Bequests made to the RSPCA will be used by the Society’s headquarters: only bequests made to the ‘RSPCA Leicestershire Branch’ or ‘Woodside Animal Centre’ will reach us directly. Our free will writing information pack provides with all you need to make a new will, or amend an existing one.
