Derby law firm Flint Bishop are delighted to welcome Claire Tonks to their experienced commercial contracts team.

Claire has been practising commercial law since 2000 and joins from Geldards.

Claire has a wealth of knowledge dealing with clients in both the private and public sectors and has provided specialist advice in a wide variety of commercial contracts including e-commerce, IT contracts, sale and procurement of goods and services, agency and distribution agreements and consultancy contracts. 

She has developed specialist knowledge of funding agreements advising clients, both administering and receiving funding from the Regional Growth Fund and Sport England.

Claire has advised clients over a number of years on the public procurement regulations from the perspective of both the tendering authority and the prospective contractors.

Claire has a depth of experience in the education sector, working with a number of academies and further education colleges in the East Midlands, and has recently been appointed as a governor of The Lichfield Cathedral School having recently worked with the governing body on an advisory basis.
