Wicked whisperings at the Sole Practitioners Group's annual shindig in sunny Brighton last weekend. Obiter hears merry delegates had a chortle on discovering that conference speaker Bob Heslett, the Deputy Vice President of the Law Society, had a bird in his room. One wag joked he was feathering his nest with an uninvited and flighty companion of voracious appetite and questionable table manners... It was, of course, a seagull.
