Obiter reports with a sense of awe the activities of Sue Stapely, who has decided to cock a snook at turning 60 by taking time out from her role as Grande Dame of the legal PR world to go on the Karma Enduro, a charity 2,000km endurance rally through India, later this year. There is petrol in the family veins and she will be joined by her son, Stuart. Helpfully, Stapely Jr is a trophy-winning rally driver, although how useful that will be is debatable, given that the vehicle of choice for rally participants is a 1948-style Indian-built HP Ambassador car (like an old Morris Oxford, if that's any help), which apparently handles like a drunken badger.
