Following on from Isle of Man lawyer Paul Beckett, who proudly told Obiter that he’s the only member of the Real Fight Club to have been knocked out cold (see [2004] Gazette, 27 May, 11), Louise Walsh, a 29-year-old secretary at Cardiff firm Leo Abse & Cohen, is set to become Wales’s only professional female boxer. As you can see from this picture of Ms Walsh with seven-time world featherweight champion Steve Robinson, her trainer, and Clive Garrett-Evans, a solicitor in the firm’s commercial department, she can certainly pack a punch. A handy person to have around when the other side of a deal push their luck.
