In the running: never let it be said that there are no fast women in the legal profession. Marathon-running Deborah Gibbins, who runs her own firm in Basildon, reckons she is the 'fastest lady lawyer' out there. She would like to know of any other lawyer members of the fairer sex who can claim to have beaten her time of 3hrs 18mins 8secs in the Blackpool marathon of 27 April. If any women lawyers in the London marathon beat that time, she wants to know.
Meanwhile, another lawyer who thinks he may have a claim to fame is Morgan Rees at Bell Lax in the West Midlands. He reckons he is the youngest solicitor advocate, after qualifying at the remarkably tender age of 24 years and 297 days. Any other solicitor advocates out there care to take issue with him?
