Obiter has been through the requisite training and so won't fall into the trap of making comments about how slow women drivers are, oh no.
Instead we are delighted to be able to bring you a picture of Sarah Franklin, a partner at Kettering firm Terence Bailey, standing next to her mean machine at Brands Hatch.
Ms Franklin made her debut last month in the final three races of the 2004 AVO Ginetta Championship, having obtained her racing licence in March this year.
The only female driver in the field, she said: 'Motorsport is still such a male dominated world and I wanted to show them that women can race too.' Ms Franklin is now looking for sponsors for next year's championship.
