Members of the legal profession have gone to extraordinary lengths in the past to raise money for charity. Name some far-flung corner of the earth and you can bet a lawyer has been there. Staff at Lichfield firm Keelys have, however, taken a more homely approach to fundraising - exchanging their 'lunchtime bap for lunchtime lap', with a walk around the town's Stowe Pool 'accompanied by the doggie duo of Bonzo and Minnie'. The epic trip, which was all of one mile, saw them return 'to a well-earned lunch of hot soup and sandwiches - with the dogs opting for a bowl of Winalot'. But the efforts were not to be sniffed at, raising around £1,000 for Children in Need, and evoked happy school memories of sponsored silences and other challenges.
