Any solicitors who have ever arrived at work to look down and realise there is baby sick on their new shirt, or changed out of their work clothes at the end of a long day to find there are Rice Krispies stuck to the back that have been there since breakfast, will be pleased to know that the efforts of the working mum (sorry, dads) are finally being recognised – and the gong has just been won by a solicitor. Allison Hampshire (pictured), a personal injury lawyer from Southampton firm Eric Robinson, has just been named ‘Business Mum Extraordinaire’ at the Hampshire Winning Women Business Awards. Allison combines being a mum to her young son Jacob with winning compensation for clients with serious injuries, and also being responsible for the firm’s IT and marketing; the kind of multi-tasking that the fairer sex are famous for. And not a dribble stain in sight. Impressive.
