Registered Charity No: 295336 (England & Wales).

We are the only independent charity dedicated to securing the future of the 13 National Parks in England and Wales: from Dartmoor, Exmoor, the South Downs, the New Forest, the Peak District, The Broads, Lake District, Northumberland, North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks in England and Eryri (Snowdonia), Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and Pembrokeshire Coast National Parks in Wales.

Founded in 1936 and fighting for the future

Founded in 1936, our first campaigns resulted in the creation of our National Parks and now, inspired by the past, we fight for their future. Nature isn’t thriving in National Parks and many people are unable to enjoy them. We want a world where nature and people are both thriving in our National Parks, where the environment is wild and the natural beauty and wildlife are protected for generations to come.

Legacies are vital for National Parks

Approximately one third of our work is funded by gifts in wills. After taking care of your friends and family could you consider leaving a legacy to National Parks so that these special places are safe and protected for generations to come?

“We need landscapes that are alive with people and wildlife, buzzing with invertebrates and busy with bird life. Across the countryside we are facing a dire ecological decline… National Parks must set an example and lead the way forward.”
Iolo Williams, television presenter, naturalist and vice president of Campaign for National Parks
