Donkeys have been by our side for centuries – we share a relationship that spans generations, cultures and continents. Here at The Donkey Sanctuary, we see just how special donkeys are, but around the world, they are often misunderstood and undervalued. 

Gifts in wills play a huge part in our vital work to improve the lives of donkeys every day and in turn support the communities who depend on them. 

Working collaboratively with partner organisations, NGOs, communities and governments, we focus on the things that really impact a donkey’s welfare – including veterinary care, nutrition, housing and working hours.

We share our knowledge and expertise worldwide and campaign to bring issues affecting donkeys to the attention of those who can effect change.
