The Epilepsy Research Institute exists to radically advance research into epilepsy - a condition affecting 1 in every 100 people in the UK. Our work focuses on uncovering the causes, improving treatment options, and ultimately finding a cure — so that everyone affected by epilepsy can live free from its impact.
Despite its prevalence, epilepsy research has long been underfunded in comparison to many other health conditions. By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help close this gap – funding the pioneering science needed to address the unanswered questions surrounding epilepsy and drive lasting change.
Nearly half of our voluntary income comes from Gifts in Wills. This support enables us to fund vital research — from clinical studies improving current treatments, to lab-based discoveries that could one day prevent epilepsy altogether. However, there is still so much more to do.
