Registered Charity No: 1159382 (England & Wales).

Help us to keep the memory, values, and artistry of William Morris (1834-1896) alive today and in perpetuity.

The life, work and ideas of Morris are as important today as they were in his lifetime and the Society exists to make them as widely known as possible.

Your support will preserve his remarkable legacy in design, social thought, and craftsmanship, enabling educational programmes, exhibitions, and crucial conservation work to keep his vision alive for future generations.

Whether you’re inspired by his designs, poetry or political thinking, you can help support our charity to share the knowledge of Morris globally and conserve our rare collections which are displayed in our museum, Kelmscott House, Morris’s West London riverside home for the last 18 years of his life.

The Society, established in 1955, publishes a Journal and Magazine on all aspects of Morris’s work and runs a varied programme of talks, events and visits throughout the year. By joining us as a member or by leaving a gift in your will to the Society, you ensure that his legacy continues to thrive for generations to come.

You can leave to us:

  • A percentage of your estate
  • A specific sum
  • A specific Morris related item (e.g., artwork or book)
