Parrott & Coales LLP has appointed solicitor and employment law expert, Albert Bargery, to head up the employment services division.

Albert will use his experience in employment law to support organisations, businesses and individuals on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters such as employment contracts, redundancies, maternity rights, unfair dismissal, discrimination and transfer of undertakings (TUPE).

He will also be responsible for growing the firm’s employment division which is already making headway with its fixed-fee advice service and its retainer scheme.

Individuals looking for advice on employment law can get an hour long appointment at a reduced, fixed fee while businesses can retain Parrott & Coales’ employment services for an agreed amount each month, which is a cost-effective way of managing the business’ employment law requirements.

Albert said: ‘I joined Parrott & Coales because I’ve always been impressed with how forward-thinking they are as a team. The firm is well established in the area with an excellent reputation and has seen strong growth, so it’s great to be able to join at this exciting time and play a role in shaping the firm’s future success.’

Sarah Plumridge, managing partner of Parrott & Coales, said: ‘We understand that employment matters can be challenging and complex, which is why we’re continuously developing our services so we lend the support and advice that our clients need.

‘Albert will be a real asset to help us drive our employment division forward. He is a specialist in his area and he has represented a range of organisations in the community such as local schools to larger, national corporations like automotive firms and haulage and shipping companies. We’re delighted he could join the team.’
