Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has announced the appointment of Chris Griffin as a partner in its Jersey office.

Mr Griffin, who joined Carey Olsen as a senior associate in 2011 before being being promoted to counsel in 2016, is a member of the Jersey corporate team and advises on all aspects of corporate transactions, including the legal and regulatory aspects of fund launches and other bespoke investment structures.

He has played a key role in developing the firm’s digital assets practice and, most recently, led the team advising ARC Fiduciary Limited on its Initial Coin Offering (ICO), working closely with the Jersey Financial Services Commission to deliver Jersey’s first ICO.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Mr Griffin spent 10 years working in the City of London as a corporate and funds lawyer for Ashurst, RAB Capital plc and SJ Berwin.
