Bringing top-level expertise to the expanding Wye Valley office of Harrison Clark Rickerbys inc Shawcross, Hefin Archer-Williams has joined the firm to lead the office’s litigation team.
Hefin, whose experience has been with leading firms in Wales and the south west, specialises in contract and financial matters including property litigation, insolvency and professional negligence.
He has a particular interest in sports law, acting for sports men and women in contract negotiations, disputes with clubs, disciplinary hearings, selection and sponsorship matters and is regularly called upon by the BBC to offer expert opinion on sports law.
His sporting interests go far beyond work – he has been the chair of Badminton Wales and is the chair of Disability Cricket Wales (as well as being Cricket Wales’ legal advisor on disability, selection and disciplinary matters). He has also been the vice-chair of Basketball Wales and officer for Basketball UK and a director of Disability Sports Wales. Currently he is the legal advisor to Cardiff RFC and the Institute of Expert Witnesses.
Heath Thomas, head of the firm’s Wye Valley office, said: “The growth in demand we’re seeing in the Wye Valley and into Wales means that Hefin’s arrival is very welcome – I know that he will lead the litigation team here to further success.’
Hefin said: ’I’m delighted to be joining such a dynamic team and I look forward to getting to know them and this area much better.’
