Eversheds Sutherland today announces the hire of heavyweight insurance professional Mark Everiss as a partner in its insurance group. Mark was previously a partner with Cooley, where he led their global insurance practice group for five years.

Mark has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector, across both contentious and non-contentious matters advising clients in relation to third-party liability, onshore and offshore energy, financial institutions, employers’ liability, product liability, D&O, cyber and warranty & indemnity matters. He isregularly instructed in reinsurance disputes in the live and legacy markets, at all levels of the UK Courts and in arbitration. 

Mark is well known in the London insurance market, is an active member and director of IRLA (the Insurance and Reinsurance Legacy Association) and is recommended in the directories for his expertise and experience.

He is a regular speaker at insurance and reinsurance events and conferences. As well as being a director of IRLA, Mark is also a member of the British Insurance Law Association, AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society and The Chartered Insurance Institute.
