Firm hire: Ison Harrison appoints new head of family division

Yorkshire law firm Ison Harrison has appointed a new head to its private family law division.

Sarah Laughey who originally joined the firm’s family law service in February 2017 and promptly headed up the firm’s family law service at the Ilkley, Otley & Guiseley branches, was made a Partner at Ison Harrison in January 2019. Stepping up to the role of Head of Private Family at the law firm, is therefore somewhat of a natural progression.

Sarah specialises in relationship and marital breakdowns, her case work mainly focuses upon divorce work and associated financial asset disputes, usually for clients who hold high net worth assets and business asset interests. However, Sarah will also deal with child arrangement related disputes and some domestic violence related work. Sarah brings 14 years family law experience to her new senior management role.

As Head of Private Family, Sarah will now lead Ison Harrison’s team of experts which undertakes all types of family law work. Her new role will involve overseeing the strategy, management and supervision of the firm's entire private family portfolio. The firm, which has 14 offices across Yorkshire, boasts one of the largest and most experienced teams of family solicitors in the region.
