Solicitor Jonathan Day has joined the London Victoria office of Stowe Family Law, the UK’s largest specialist family law firm.
Jonathan advises on all areas of family law including divorce, civil partnerships, matrimonial finance, cohabitation issues and private law children cases. He has worked on a number of high-profile divorce cases involving public figures and media interest.
Prior to qualifying, Jonathan worked for a private bank where he developed an in-depth knowledge of the various vehicles used to hold assets including trusts, off-shore funds and companies.
This has proven to be invaluable when working on high-net worth cases that involve complex financial transactions. He has worked on cases involving assets held in foreign jurisdictions, financial settlements following an overseas divorce, crypto-currencies, asset tracing, family businesses and property portfolios.
He said: 'Stowe Family Law has a sterling national reputation and I am delighted to be joining the London Victoria team. I work with my clients to achieve settlements that are tailored to their needs and wishes. My former life working in a bank has given me an extensive knowledge of complex financial transactions which benefits the high-net worth divorce cases.'
His appointment follows the opening of the London Victoria office, the second in the city for Stowe Family Law earlier this year. Following a major investment by private equity firm Livingbridge last year, the firm has grown to 16 offices with new ones also in Beverley, Esher, Reading, Manchester and Bristol. Stowe Family Law now employs more than 50 solicitors.
Managing partner of the London Victoria office, Phoebe Turner said: 'Stowe’s reputation for excellence and outstanding client care is attracting an ever-growing caseload of local and international clients, many with highly complex affairs. This demand resulted in the need for us to open a second office in the capital.
'I’m delighted that Jonathan has agreed to join the London Victoria team. He comes with the reputation of being an outstanding family lawyer and he is highly regarded within the legal community.'
