Hill Dickinson has appointed recovery and insolvency specialist Mark Lund to its restructuring team.

Lund, based in the firm’s Manchester office, will act as a consultant lawyer and join head of restructuring Paul Spence and fellow partner Will Jones.

With over 30 years’ experience as an insolvency lawyer in private practice, Lund specialises in providing restructuring advice and support to insolvency practitioners, businesses and their stakeholders.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is dual-qualified as both an insolvency practitioner and as a solicitor.

Spence commented: 'The corporate landscape has undergone seismic change over the past 16 months, meaning that many businesses are having to reassess their strategies to generate and preserve cash as they look to the future. We can help with that. To have Mark join the team now, when the country is finally about to reopen fully, gives us significant added capacity and expertise to assist clients and stakeholders in protecting what they have often spent many years building up. We’re delighted to have him on board.'

Lund added: 'I’m excited to be joining Hill Dickinson’s Restructuring team at a time when many of our corporate clients need increased access to timely advice and guidance. It’s undoubtedly been a challenging time to be in business and our job is to help clients chart a new path towards stability and recovery.'

He joins Hill Dickinson from Knights.

The firm predicts a surge in client enquires for legal advice related to businesses in distress, or at risk, as a result of the ongoing Covid pandemic.
