The law firm Bevan Brittan LLP has expanded its capability in the construction and infrastructure sectors with two senior appointments.

Pippa Beesley joins the firm as a partner based in the London office and has substantial knowledge of public sector led, large-scale, high value development schemes. She will focus primarily on new investment and infrastructure projects involving local government, education authorities, housing providers - and private sector developers and joint-venture partners.

Pippa was previously a partner at the law firm Mundays, where she headed-up the non-contentious construction team that advised on a wide range of projects within the capital and south-east region.

She said: ’I am naturally excited about joining Bevan Brittan, which has a strong legal team and reputation in the marketplace, and at a time when many areas of the country are seeing high levels of new development - particularly within the public sector, where local authorities are taking the lead in bringing public-private partnerships together.’

Martha Mordecai has joined the department as a senior associate, also based in Bevan Brittan’s London offices. She specialises in contentious construction contract and dispute work. She joins from REN Legal Management Limited, and was previously at Charles Russell Speechlys.

Martha said: ’I am very pleased to have joined Bevan Brittan, and its strong team serving the construction industry. In this regard, the firm is recognised for the high quality of its work across public and private sector organisations and I am looking forward to being closely involved with a range of clients.’
